Every Year St Thomas’s Community Network run Easter and Summer Play schemes. We recognise that parents and guardians sometimes find it difficult to find affordable childcare during the school holiday breaks.
The play schemes cater for children in two age groups who live in the St Thomas’s Ward (Kate’s Hill and Sledmere Area)(aged 5-8 yrs and 8-12yrs).
Please note that we are limited to just 40 places which are allocated on first come, first served basis. This means it is best to book your child or children’s places as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
- The Easter scheme runs for 1 week only whilst the summer is for 4 weeks.
- The Summer scheme runs from Monday – Friday 10am – 12.30pm and 1pm – 3.00pm.
- Cost is £1.50 a day (an extra 50p is required if children stay on site for lunch.)
The children can either bring a packed lunch or use our on site canteen which provides children’s meals.
The program includes a variety of activities such as:
- outings
- sports days
- arts and crafts sessions
- competitions etc.
Parents and guardians will be responsible for paying a small fee for the trips but these are usually subsidised (dependant upon available funding).
Application forms are issued two weeks before the scheme starts.
